Do Not Start Your Holiday Shopping Without This Free Browser Extension

If you’re anything like me and you do at least 90% of your holiday shopping online, you are going to absolutely love this browser extension.

Honey is a free browser extension that makes sure you get the best deals before you make any online purchase. Once you’ve put items into your cart and are ready to check out, Honey scans the web for all discount codes and coupons that could be applied to your purchase. Then it will add the code that gives you the largest discount!

With over 30,000+ participating merchants, users save an average of 17.9% on purchases using Honey. You no longer need to stress over your holiday shopping this year! And as if Honey’s discount finder wasn’t amazing enough, you get rewards as well! As you use Honey, you earn Honey Gold, which can be redeemed for gift cards.

Honey Smart Shopping Assistant app

If you do most of your online shopping on your phone rather than on a computer, you can still use Honey! There’s a Honey Smart Shopping Assistant app (currently only available for iOS, but the app for Androids is in the works)! If you already use the Honey extension, you can sign into the app using your existing account.

How Does the App Differ From the Browser Extension?

Rather than scanning the web for discounts and coupons as the browser extension does, the Honey app compiles all of the best retailers and deals into one shopping experience. The app includes over 400 retailers, such as Nordstrom, Madewell, Urban Outfitters, eBay, Ulta, and more. Each day, the Honey app will show you all of the great deals that are offered in each store.

You can shop from all different retailers right in the app. Follow your favorite stores so Honey can alert you whenever a great deal is available. Add products to your Droplist so Honey can notify you whenever a product you are searching for is available at a lower price.

As of November 2019, Paypal has acquired Honey for $4 billion! The fact that the extension is free makes it feel a bit too good to be true, but it is completely safe to use! The reason that it is available for free because the 40,000+ retailers that are partnered with Honey provide Honey with a commission when purchases are made using codes from Honey.

George Ruan, co-founder of Honey, has stated, “Honey makes money by getting a commission from merchants and then giving a portion of it back to our user as cash back. We DO NOT sell or share your data in any way. We promise not to sell ANY of your personally identifiable data. Ever. We also promise that we do not collect any data that is not necessary to save you time and money. It’s that simple.”

Personally, I prefer the browser extension over the app, but once you create a Honey account, you might as well take advantage of both! Also, be sure to use your referral code so you can earn some extra Honey Gold, and so that your friends and family can take advantage of Honey’s coupons and discounts as well!

Happy shopping!
Xx,
Katie
